rezaParticipant
Are you connecting to NoMachine Server installed on Windows or Linux?
rezaParticipantUnfortunately we will more info to help you solve this issue.
Can you give us a overview of your network including address of your NoMachine servers, address of router, external address of router and other things you think that can be useful?
Additionally explain how you configured your router to let external clients connect to your NoMachine server.
Please send that info to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com referencing your topic.

I suppose you are connecting via SSH protocol to port other then 22, did you adjusted SSHDPort key in server.cfg?
rezaParticipantHI Mustr,
Are you forwarding port 4000 on your router to port 4000 on machine with NoMachine installed?
Can you tell us which VPS are you using?

rezaParticipantPlease take a look at this thread:

It may help you.
rezaParticipantHi Dreamweaver,
It’s by design.
File transfer is among things that are not available when you are logged it as root.
There is no workaround.rezaParticipantWe are not able to reproduce this issue.
Did you restarted a server after modifying node.cfg file?
rezaParticipantTo completely disable recording please set following keys from node.cfg to 0:
EnableSessionRecording
EnableLocalRecording
First one controls recording of remote session that you can start from Player GUI. Second one control recording of local desktop that you can start from Monitor GUI and can be used to record desktop inside remote session as well.

October 31, 2014 at 12:19 in reply to: Cannot Share Virtual Session with NoMachine Workstation #5262rezaParticipantRegarding disabling automigrate option we have a Trouble Report:
https://www.nomachine.com/TR10L04611
Are you using the same user account to create a new virtual session and share it (second connection)?
If yes please try to use separate user accounts.
rezaParticipantWarnings about missing local X server are nothing to worry if you are running NoMachine on a headless machine.
However if a local X server is running it means that for some reason it cannot be found and we have to investigate issue.
rezaParticipantPlease assure that key AudioInterface in node.cfg is set to ‘alsa’.
rezaParticipant1) On the server side this port is taken from a range set in config key.
#UDPPort 4011-4999
It can be set to just one value instead of the range but in that case only one session will be able to use UDP. If it’s a range, a port is selected randomly at session start.
2) You can set it in the player GUI to use a specific port instead of a random one from range. However it’s a global setting, so all sessions will use the same. In that case, only one session will be able to use UDP.
3) It will be sufficient to forward single UDP port set up on both sides, it’s a separate setting in client and in server and both have to be forwarded. Otherwise the whole range has to be forwarded.
rezaParticipantRegarding second issue, please follow the instructions in https://www.nomachine.com/AR07K00677 to gather all logs and send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
