Hi Andre,
One of the features of NoMachine Terminal Server family (if needed, see the comparison here: NoMachine – Comparison terminal server products ) is to be able to start a virtual session that is not attached to the display and will be not visible in XEN console.
Please check the following link to know how to proceed: NoMachine – Creating new virtual desktop sessions

BilbotineParticipantHello morphin,
Yes, it’s possible to use SOCKS proxy in the connection file; however in version 7.X, the connection file has to be eddied manually.
The following values have to be set:
<option key=”Enable HTTP proxy” value=”true” />
<option key=”HTTP proxy host” value=”hostname” />
<option key=”HTTP proxy port” value=”8080″ />
<option key=”HTTP proxy password” value=”password” />
<option key=”HTTP proxy username” value=”username” />
<option key=”Remember HTTP proxy password” value=”false” />
<option key=”Manual proxy configuration type” value=”socks” />
<option key=”Proxy configuration mode” value=”manual” />
In the upcoming version 8.X, it will be possible to set all these fields in the GUI.
Please let us know if this answer helps you!
January 14, 2022 at 13:01 in reply to: Crisp rendering with Linux client, but not with Windows client #37051BilbotineParticipantHello JooVoo,
I’m afraid a made a mistake in my previous post; I thought that the feature request I mentioned is already implemented, but it is actually not. Our developers took this opportunity to rework the content of such Feature Request and split it into two features since it was about two different aspects of rendering, the rendering of the session (of the remote desktop) and the rendering of the UI of the session.
At the moment unfortunately there is no workaround, to solve the “blurry” problem it is necessary to implement these Feature Requests:
NoMachine – Adding an option to make the session “DPI Aware” – Knowledge Base
NoMachine – Making the NoMachine User Interface “DPI Aware” on Windows – Knowledge Base
BilbotineParticipantHello morphin,
There is no way to include arbitrary data into first part of connections. However if you don’t want to use HTTP proxy a SOCKS proxy can be a good alternative, since it works with TCP connections.
Please refer to the following links:

BilbotineParticipantHello morphin,
I am not sure of the product you are using, but did you try NoMachine Cloud Server ?
Indeed it can act as some kind of proxy for the NX connections: NoMachine – Secure remote access and reliable desktop delivery across any data center or cloud
You can download an evaluation version of the software to test it.
January 13, 2022 at 10:55 in reply to: Crisp rendering with Linux client, but not with Windows client #37033BilbotineParticipantHi Joovoo,
Assuming you have Windows on the client side, you need to add the option to use native resolution on High-DPI displays.
See our feature request about it: NoMachine – Adding an option to use native resolution on High-DPI displays – Knowledge Base
Let us know if this doesn’t solve your issue! 🙂
January 12, 2022 at 20:19 in reply to: How do I create a user name and password for remote control? #37026BilbotineParticipantHi Fearless,
I’m sorry if our answer didn’t address your issue; however the password is not related to NoMachine (but to Windows) and so you should refer to your system user guide to know how to set the password.
See this information from Microsoft: Change or reset your Windows password (microsoft.com)
I hope this will help you 🙂
BilbotineParticipantHi Matt,
Do you have the possibility to contact your office network administrator, and ask to open a port forwarded to the target machine ?
That would be the best solution.
Let us know if this helps or if you have further issues!
January 11, 2022 at 11:37 in reply to: How do I create a user name and password for remote control? #37002BilbotineParticipantHello Fearless,
You don’t have to create a user, as NoMachine uses a system user that is already created on the server side (System username and password).
While it is common on Windows not to set a password, one must be set if someone wants to use NoMachine (this is for security limitations).
You can find more about this subject in the following article : https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/AR05L00802

BilbotineParticipantHello lavadrop,
Can you please tell us if the DE where you applied the reverse scroll setting is running on the client or the server ?
Thanks!
BilbotineParticipantHi Gary,
It seems you forgot the attachment, or it was not accepted by the forums tool, as we can’t see any error. Can you please resend it here or to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, referencing the topic as subject ?
Thanks!

BilbotineParticipantHi Patrick,
I confirm your assumption, but recommend to test the product to make sure it corresponds to your needs.
Concerning your follow-up question: by default, only privileged system users (root or ‘sudo’ users on Linux and Mac, administrator users on Windows) are allowed to connect to the physical desktop of the Cloud Server host. You can disable it by setting in the server configuration:
EnableAdministratorLogin 0
