Here is a list of the issues we have encountered so far con macOS 10.15 Catalina. Where possible workarounds are indicated.
BritgirlKeymasterThat output doesn’t tell us what was wrong, and purging means that the logs we could have looked at are now lost, so we can’t investigate further. If it happens again, let us know.
BritgirlKeymasterSSH support isn’t available in the free version, but in Enterprise Desktop.
BritgirlKeymasterThe best way to obtain an older version is to contact us via the website. Backward compatibility is generally maintained between versions.
Customers who have subscriptions with us can put in a special request to receive a download link to the earlier version if they are not able to update the server, or if they are still using NoMachine login even with version 5 (or 4). They can then distribute it to their users privately. Perhaps your administrator has already been in touch with us? Either way, please reach out to us using this link: https://www.nomachine.com/contact-request.

BritgirlKeymasterand also the Linux DE you want to connect to.
BritgirlKeymasterHi, please confirm what version of NoMachine you have installed on the connecting client and also what NoMachine product and version is on the server side. You mention 19.10, so I’m assuming the distro is Ubuntu. Thanks!
BritgirlKeymasterFrom debug output you need to fix access rights. Use this command:
chmod 4555 /usr/NX/bin/nxexec

BritgirlKeymasterHi, thanks for reporting, we’ve opened a Trouble Report and provided the correct workaround. To avoid further confusion and splitting of topics, please refer toΒ https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/nx-wont-work-with-recent-kde-5-17. Thanks!
BritgirlKeymasterPlease see:
https://www.nomachine.com/TR10Q09440
The correct workaround is:
– edit /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg, and change the following key:
DefaultDesktopCommand “/usr/bin/dbus-launch /usr/bin/startplasma-x11”
BritgirlKeymasterYou should have received the link from me π yesterday. I’ll resend to make sure you get it.
