Something obviously went wrong when you first installed – possibly old lic files interfering from an earlier version.
SSH is meant to work out of the box, so when the user selects in SSH in the connection set-up, the rest is done for them.
BritgirlKeymasterThe free product does not support SSH protocol. Features available in the free version are highlighted here: https://www.nomachine.com/nomachine-features.
But you should be seeing a message like this when you try to connect to the Pi “Running NoMachine sessions over a SSH is not supported” or similar, not an Error 138.
To understand better why you’re not seeing the message logs would be useful. You can follow the instructions here (https://www.nomachine.com/DT07M00098) and send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
BritgirlKeymasterPlease check your inbox. Thank you.

This is the email address. Replace the [at] with the usual email address symbol and a ‘.’ before the ‘com’. Anyway, we’ll take a look at what you sent. Thanks.
BritgirlKeymasterAccessing multiple user accounts running on the same host is available on Linux, and not on Mac or Windows. This functionality is called Terminal Services, you provide a virtual desktop for each user and they work separately, even at the same time.
When you access the physical desktop of NoMachine (which is what you do with the free NoMachine for Linux/Win/Mac), the users will see the same physical desktop. NoMachine can’t currently make any Windows or Mac computer become a Terminal Server.
November 9, 2017 at 15:25 in reply to: Node.cfg settings for using lightdm in VMware instance #16368BritgirlKeymasterGlad to know you sorted the problem out. I added your follow-up to your original post.
On systems which NoMachine supports, with default system settings, commands in keys should work fine without editing. But If you have installed a desktop environment manually it might be necessary to change values in those keys.
This article deals with that 🙂
How to run a virtual desktop environment on Linux different from the default one with NoMachine

I asked you a question to understand your needs better, but you didn’t reply anyway 🙂 The developers monitor the forums, but we can’t guarantee that you’ll get an answer within your desired time-frame. If you’ve been monitoring our other social channels, you will have noticed that NoMachine 6 is on its way, so they’ve been busy with other things.
Requests for information can also be submitted via the Contact Us form in the footer. Perhaps that’s more appropriate for you. We answer within 24 hours.
BritgirlKeymasterCan you tell us the exact versions of Cloud Server and Terminal Server you have in use?

BritgirlKeymasterAre you referring to installing NoMachine on the server side under your home directory?
BritgirlKeymaster@Ashok_Barik, maybe it’s better you let the support team deal with your enquiry. If you have 300 users connecting, you should be covered by your subscription. The forums aren’t really the appropriate place to get technical assistance because sensitive information may be published, plus the forums won’t give you the same response time to which you are entitled via the support center (please proceed to your customer area or contact your administrator if you don’t have your credentials).
BritgirlKeymasterCan you confirm the version of NoMachine software and product you have installed on the server-side?
BritgirlKeymasterDid you see the ‘What’s coming up’ page linked from the home-page? https://www.nomachine.com/what-s-coming-up
All Enterprise products will have the feature of browser-based access with the release of NoMachine 6. “Web-based access will no longer be exclusive to Cloud Server. This highly-requested functionality will become available in all products of the Terminal Server and Cloud Server suites.”
For those users of the free version that want browser-based access, we’ll be making available an Enterprise Desktop Subscription package at an affordable price. That could be an option for you 🙂
