We’re not able to reproduce this.
Are you referring to disk sleep or display sleep? What’s the macOS version? Can you submit a screenshot of your system’s sleep settings? If you connect using the traditional player, what happens?
Edit: update to the latest version and let us know if it is still occurring.

https://www.nomachine.com/TR01S10008You can change the remote resolution, but only among resolutions made available by the VGA adapter. Turning off the X server on the remote NoMachine server will let it create a virtual display whose resolutions are not limited in any way.
Alternatively, you can install Workstation for Linux on the VM.

The issue you reported yesterday is a known one, and I was waiting for confirmation before posting the link to the Trouble Report. You can sign up to receive a notification of its fix if you wish using the ‘notify me’ box.

Unfortunately, we don’t have enough request for this platform to warrant adding it to our supported platforms. Our technology became closed source back in 2013, before that the compression technology was open source. If you look on Google, you’ll find that multiple open source “nxserver” projects were initiated by others that were compatible with our earlier clients.

It’s certainly not a limitation and I am not aware of any bug that would cause different behaviour.
The free version counts connections to the remote desktop. If the a user connects remotely to the desktop, this counts as one connection. If the same user then connects (same username) from another device, the connection is migrated to the second device. This is the expected behaviour.
