Hi, to clarify, all Terminal Server products let you run virtual desktops, and they can also give you access to the physical desktop. In your case, Workstation will allow up to 4 virtual desktops. Small Business provides up to 10. Both allow access to the physical display. So swapping for Small Business will simply increase the number of virtual desktops you can run.
I am unable to launch VM’s for a user
By VM I imagine you mean a NoMachine virtual desktop. In the Terminal Sever family the virtual desktop functionality allows individual multiple Linux desktops to run on the same host sharing the same OS, which is different to running virtual machines each with their own operating system 🙂
VirtualGL has been enabled.

the username and password being requested by NoMachine is your usual system account credentials which you normally use when you want to log in to your desktop locally. For example, if you normally enter your Windows desktop with your account named “Dryros” and a password, you will need to use those credentials in the NoMachine dialog box.

You should try the evaluation of Workstation (https://www.nomachine.com/product&p=NoMachine%20Workstation). This lets you create up to 4 virtual desktops on the server host.
@tsher, it seems the logs you sent were not correct. Can you make sure you follow the instructions from Mth carefully and in the article and try sending again?
Do you use dynamic home directory mounting? If so, can you provide some details of how it’s configured? What authentication method do you use when connecting with NoMachine? Can you successfully establish SSH session for domain user to your MacBook?

H.264 streaming is more optimized for multimedia content, where X11 Vector Graphics Mode (which is what you prefer) is used for non-video contents like textual elements.

NoMachine Workstation on Raspberry may be possible. You need to contact our Sales Team 🙂 We didn’t make it available at the time of adding support for RPi initially because the HW couldn’t cope with running up to 4 virtual desktops (which is what the Workstation provides), but now that the HW has improved, it’s worth exploring. Our tests show that RPi3 can run no more than 3 virtual desktop sessions in low resolution, plus 1 physical desktop session. RPi4, on the other hand, is much more powerful and our initial tests are looking very positive 🙂
