Check that you have one of the Terminal Server products installed e.g. Workstation, Terminal Server. You can do that by following the steps here: https://www.nomachine.com/AR07C00232.
If you have the free NoMachine product installed you will connect to the physical display of the remote computer. You say “it didn’t use to happen”. What product did you install beforehand?
More information about the free edition of NoMachine is here: https://www.nomachine.com/AR10K00700
BritgirlKeymasterHi, if you send us the logs of the C1 machine, we can take a look to see why you can’t connect to that computer. To extract the full logs, please follow the instructions for the affected PC here: https://www.nomachine.com/AR10K00697
Send attachments directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure to reference your topic. Thanks!
BritgirlKeymasterHaving a NoMachine server for Android could be a possibility to allow customers to receive remote assistance on their device, for example, but that use case represents a very small percentage of our customers. It’s something we have evaluated but not officially added to our roadmap yet, given that we have always focused on bringing the full computing capacity of a desktop to the user.
So, it’s something we’d like to do, but for the moment remote mobile device support is not currently a priority.
BritgirlKeymasterHi noone and gamer, thanks for your feedback 🙂
Let me point you to a recent comment of one of our developers to a similar topic submitted to the forums: https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/much-faster-screen-updates-in-latest-version
BritgirlKeymasterHi, thanks for the logs. Unfortunately they didn’t reveal anything strange and we have not been able to reproduce the problem either. If you agree, we’d like to send you a debug library with further instructions on how to extract new logs. Is this ok?
BritgirlKeymaster@graphixillusion, can you send us the client-side logs? Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com and reference the topic as well. Instructions for getting logs are here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163#2
April 8, 2019 at 16:28 in reply to: Authentication request to change options using LDAP login #21960BritgirlKeymaster@Gaet16221284 we’d like to send you a small debug library to let us get further debug information for the investigation. If you agree, we’ll send it on privately with further instructions. Thanks!
April 5, 2019 at 13:58 in reply to: Local screen has corrupted regions after pop-ups and window moves #21950BritgirlKeymasterVersion 6 is compatible with version 5. What’s the reason behind your admins saying that it won’t work?
It would be better to update the server side, not just the client side, and ask your admins to submit a support ticket if possible.
In the meantime, can you submit a screenshot that shows the problem? Is anyone else in your company experiencing this problem?
BritgirlKeymasterHi, can you update to 6.6.8 and let us know if the problem is still there?
BritgirlKeymasterPlease submit them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
April 1, 2019 at 14:32 in reply to: Unable to access !M monitor menu in order to transfer files #21910BritgirlKeymasterDo you know what Linux distro is on the server and the version so we can investigated? If you are accessing a Uni server (I recognize the server name), the admin will be able to give you this info, or alternatively they can open a ticket.
In the meantime, there are two other ways to transfer files. One is by simple drag and drop. Dragging it to your local machine will leave it on the desktop. The other way is to share your disks, provided these have not been disabled on the server by the administrator. A tutorial about sharing disks is available here:
https://www.nomachine.com/accessing-files-on-local-or-remote-disk-drives
BritgirlKeymasterCan you tell us what this Java application is?
Could you also send us the stderr of that app? You can find it in userhome/.xsession-erros or /usr/NX/var/log/node/C-[display]-[sessionid]/client file. Attach it here or send it to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
BritgirlKeymasterHi Doug, running virtual session/single applications is only possible on Linux platforms, in the Terminal Server family. This is due to licensing restrictions in Mac’s EULA. This was discussed briefly in another topic here: https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/use-a-mac-with-two-or-more-users-at-once#post-18277
March 29, 2019 at 15:03 in reply to: Local screen has corrupted regions after pop-ups and window moves #21888BritgirlKeymasterI strongly suggest you update the NoMachine installation on the client. Also, confirm what NoMachine version is on the Centos side.
BritgirlKeymaster@chiamarc, this should help you.
