BritgirlKeymasterIf you think your computer has entered sleep mode, there’s not much NoMachine can do. NoMachine does not yet offer a Wake-on-lan feature which might be what you need if I have understood what you have written. This feature is planned for version 7 onwards.
If you’re sure the computer is on, it could be that something has changed on the college’s router since your last successful connection.
BritgirlKeymasterEach host has its own license, yes. To faciliate things you could try some IT automation tool like Ansible or similar.
Many of the answers to your questions should come from the sales team, so I sincerely advise you to contact them if you ave not already done so. Any custom purchase agreement and what alternatives should also be discussed with them rather in the forums.
BritgirlKeymasterWhat is the version of your Windows software?
BritgirlKeymasterI’m not sure what you want to do 🙂
BritgirlKeymasterPlease send images and any other attachments to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Thanks!
BritgirlKeymasterJust to confirm. We received no logs from any domain concerning this particular topic. The case can be closed now.
BritgirlKeymasterLowering the resolution in Display settings on the server, or turn off one of the monitors.
BritgirlKeymasterWe tried to reproduce this and did, but even without a NoMachine session. I.e. the problem is reproducible on the actual physical host.
A related topic is under discussion on the Linux Mint forums:
BritgirlKeymasterHow long does the logout take? How many applications are actually open during logout? What OS is installed on that machine and is it physical or virtual session?
BritgirlKeymasterYou probably need to add permissions for nxnode to ‘Accessibility in Security & Privacy/Accessibility’. Some tips are available here: https://www.nomachine.com/AR11Q01061.
BritgirlKeymasterFrom the logs it would appear that you are using unicode characters in the hostname. And this is a known issue.
Cannot start the nxnode program on Windows if hostname or username contains non-Latin symbols https://www.nomachine.com/TR12M06315
BritgirlKeymasterI sent the files. But I found the problem
Thanks for letting us know by the way, but what was the problem?
BritgirlKeymasterTo answer your question about moderation, we moderate everything because unfortunately trolls, like you rightly mention, are frequent as are spammers as are shills, so whilst this is indeed a public forum in that anyone can join and comment, it also means that the few who don’t behave force us to monitor constantly. I think it’s a small price to pay for free help from our developers who are the main contributors here in this forum.
BritgirlKeymasterThe problem arises from the fact that 32 bit apps have stricter limits with regards to memory. Once packages for 64-bit Windows HW are made available, this problem will go away.

BritgirlKeymasterIf it’s a different computer, then you were right to send us new logs. Thanks.
