    Do these two users want to be able to connect to their own desktop at the same time? I.e., 2 users, each with their own Linux desktop?

    Hi, is that a headless device?

    From a terminal stop gdm and run nxserver --restart. Then try to connect again.

    Note I am using a trial version of Enterprise Desktop, is this expected since I havenโ€™t paid for it yet?

    No, this is not expected. Just a quick note about evaluation software; all our evaluation software functions exactly as what you would download and activate if you had a subscription.

    Also confirm your environment, this is what you wrote in the other topic:

    1) Client: Windows 10 Pro (systeminfo version: 10.0.19044 N/A Build 19044 ) โ€” NoMachine version โ€” 8.4.2 free
    Server: Windows 11 Enterprise (systeminfo version: 10.0.22000 N/A Build 22000 ) โ€” NoMachine version โ€” 8.4.2 Enterprise desktop

    2) Are you now using 8.5? It would be better to update if you are not because we will investigate on 8.5.

    3) The exact steps to reproduce the crash. E.g start session 1 to Windows server, start session 2 to Windows server, move mouse to….? etc

    4) Confirm the number of monitors on client and server side.

    What version are you using? If you are not using the latest client, please download and update your installation. What version is on the server?

    Right click on the connection file in the Machines panel and select ‘Edit connection’. Send us the screenshot.

    Logs would also be useful at this stage.ย  Please follow the instructions here and submit them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.

    This is a known issue affecting keyboards in general, not only magic keyboard, and has been dealt with on the forums as well. https://forum.nomachine.com/topic/arrow-and-space-keys-dont-work-in-version-8-4-2#post-44027

    Are you using the latest version, 8.5? We aren’t able to reproduce. Upon uninstallation all adapters are also removed. Look in
    System/Library/Extensions/ for nxaudio.kext and /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ for ‘NMAudio.driver’ and ‘NMAudioMic.driver’.

    What video cards are on the server and player sides?

    Hi, I’m glad that the answer helped.

    I was meaning that the version of NoMachine installed on the server is not a graphic one.

    I’m still not sure what you mean, but nevermind. Should you have other questions, it helps for us to know what exact product(s) you installed. If you are not sure, the person in charge of the server can query can this by executing sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --version from a terminal on the server.

    So to confirm, the client side (device where you connect from) is Windows (10 or 11) and you are connecting to macOS Big Sur or Monterey? Or are you connecting from macOS to Windows?

    You are requesting “unattended access”, can I assume for guests?

    The server.cfg key PhysicalDesktopAccessNoAcceptance lets you set “owner, trusted, administrator”. You can set it to PhysicalDesktopAccessNoAcceptance administrator,trusted,system,owner,guest, so all users will be able to connect without the owner’s authorization.

    You can set this key from the command line. See attached excerpt.

    We’ve tested with the latest 8.5 and the latest Slackware and don’t have issues with sound.

    Are you using Pipewire? Is the Slackware machine headless?

    Please tell us the output of sudo grep Audio /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg.

    I take it that you are using the Free Edition?

    trying to use my workstation (Windows 10 2H22)

    Do you mean this is the server where you have installed the Free Edition?

    If it is, what OS and version are you connecting from? If the Windows 10 machine is the OS you are connecting from, what OS and version is on the server side?

    The reason I am asking is because you wrote “virtual display”. Virtual displays are available only with Linux products.

     

    On Mac it gives me problems as well.

    Same question here. Are you connecting from a Mac? What’s its version?
