Hi @DoctotDan,
your issue is being handled in the new topic you opened: https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/after-connecting-to-mac-the-mouse-doesnt-work
CarinParticipantHi basstie,
A Trouble Report has been opened Display server terminates unexpectedly on multi-monitor Mac and you are invited to sign up to the βnotify meβ tool in order to receive notification of when a fix has been released.
This thread will eventually be closed.CarinParticipantHi Chris,
Please take a look at the following sections in our NoMAchine Workstation – Installation and Configuration Guide
How to stop new connections, without shutting down existing sessions
https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00174#7.4.How to broadcast a message to all existing sessions
https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00174#8.1As an alternative, you can also adopt a custom script (UserScriptBeforeLogin) to detect if ‘nologin’ file exists and refuses to login in that case.
https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00174#11.5CarinParticipantHi gabriel_chamon,
we tested Wireguard in our labs on Linux and Windows machines and everything worked.
Can you provide us with additional information about your network configuration? Thanks!
CarinParticipantHi Aurum,
When we say “server” we mean the OS that you are connecting to. When we say βclientβ it means the device you are connecting from.
Disabling HW decoding needs to be done on the client-side and it can be done during the remote session:
– start a connection
– open the menu and go to display settings
– click modify and check βdisable hardware decodingβΒ Can you please do this and come back to us with the result?
July 9, 2021 at 16:32 in reply to: Can I get user/pass for remote system via connection file? #34395CarinParticipantHi diaewad,
You can consult this article The password scrambling algorithm in NX Client which explains how the password scrambling method works.
CarinParticipantA testing package fixing this Trouble Report The NoMachine app freezes on some Chromebook models is now available to be sideloaded.
For the NoMachiners interested in testing it, if you have not done so yet, please get in touch with us via email at forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Do not forget to add the title of the topic in your email subject πCarinParticipantHi fourgotten,
The logs you collected would probably be helpful to the investigation π
Please send them directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, and we will take a look. Make sure you add the topic title in the email subject. Thanks!CarinParticipantHi dinster,
Sorry for the delay.
Yes, the FreeBSD client is not supported, but you can access your remote desktop over the Web.
https://www.nomachine.com/getting-started-with-web-based-accessUsually, the performance should be the same. Default webplayer settings will use mjpeg codec and this works perfectly in most cases. However, if you need to use webplayer for video playing/editing tasks, we would recommend that you enable webrtc.
Hope this helps!CarinParticipantHi lmcjoma,
we took a look at your logs but we could not find the debug messages.
Did you manage to replace the old nxexec with the new nxexec-test file, that we sent you via email with the instructions?
CarinParticipantHi Aurum,
I could not find this option on my client where I control my network.
My bad here, you’re right I had sent you the link from a different version and it looks different. However, this is a client option only.
So, now we need to make sure that you are able to click on the Modify button that we see in this screenshot you sent us (client side) and that ‘Disable hardware decoding’ is checked. Can you please do this and come back to us with the result? Thanks!
CarinParticipantLogs received, so the topic has been reopened.

July 5, 2021 at 17:42 in reply to: There is no file transfer option – Mac connected to Windows #34353CarinParticipantHi californiaaa,
The menu for file transfer is on the server, not on the client, so it has to be opened on the Windows machine. π

CarinParticipantHi IrishBiker,
NoMachine is free to download and install for anyone who wants a remote desktop software for personal use. More info: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/AR03P00972
The free version installed on the host accepts one connection at any time. A user can have NoMachine player (the client side) installed on as many devices as they want. However, if you try to connect from 2 or more at the same time to a host with the free version installed, it wonβt be possible. Only one connection will be possible.
The Enterprise Desktop commercial version, on the other hand, will accept multiple simultaneous connections. If you have many devices which want to connect to the same host at the same time, then Enterprise Desktop is what should be installed on the host.
From your description, the free version will probably suffice. You can in any case compare the two here: https://www.nomachine.com/remote-access-for-everyone.
