Hi MountainAir,
In this case, maybe you can try to bind NoMachine connections by NX protocol to the WiFi network as explained here: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/FR09P03687
Let us know if this helps ๐CarinParticipantHi @pavlos,
we have not published your screenshot for security reasons.
Instead of starting a session, you should right-click on discovered connection end select ‘edit’. In the next panel, you can choose an IP that will be used for that connection. This choice will be remembered and always used in future.

There may have been a delay in synching the download servers. We’ve checked that everything is ok, so I advise you to try again.
October 22, 2021 at 17:37 in reply to: Blank screen not working – server Kali Linux vm, client Windows 10 #35906CarinParticipantThe blank screen functionality lets you blank the screen of monitor when you connect to the remote computer’s physical desktop. If you connect to the physical desktop of the remote Linux computer, does the screen go blank?
CarinParticipantHi @ricky222,
Yes, they are not the same. NoMachine Enterprise Desktop supports only a connection to the host physical desktop. If you need to create a virtual desktop you should upgrade your subscription to NoMachine Workstation Single.
NoMachine Workstation supports up to 4 virtual desktops and connections to the physical desktop. The server administrator can limit the number of virtual desktops to 1, and in that case, only one virtual desktop can be created. More information about how to configure NoMachine Workstation can be found here: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00174.You can contact NoMachine sales for a possible upgrade of your active EDS subscription to Workstation here: https://www.nomachine.com/contact-request

Can you send us the logs you’ve collected, so that we can queue for investigation? Please send them directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, adding the title of the topic to the email subject. Thanks!
October 21, 2021 at 11:37 in reply to: NoMachine Workstation – old-style desktop on virtual desktop #35870CarinParticipantHi @grundar,
Can you show us the output of the following command:
sudo grep DefaultDesktopCommand /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg
To set a proper desktop environment on Zorin OS, please edit the node.cfg and change DefaultDesktopCommand to something like this:
DefaultDesktopCommandenv GNOME_SHELL_SESSION_MODE=zorin XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP=zorin XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=zorin:GNOME gnome-session --session=zorin
CarinParticipantHi ronihaddad,
Maybe the firewall on your Windows machine is blocking the connections. Can you check your firewall configuration or try to disable it for a moment and test it works?
CarinParticipantHi again @tamkir,
We checked your logs, but it did not help to narrow down the problem. Would you be willing to install a debug package and collect some additional logs?
October 20, 2021 at 15:55 in reply to: NoMachine quit working after Mac sleep disconnect? (Not blank screen issue) #35850CarinParticipantHi nxmax,
This is a different problem than the previous one. Disabled nxserver service usually means the problem is related with processes, the nxserver may crash, may not be properly initialized or something with access rights may be broken, so we will need logs to find out what is causing the problem. We suggest you collect and send us server-side logs (https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00181) and we will queue them for investigation.
Please send them directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, adding the title of the topic to the email subject.
October 19, 2021 at 17:31 in reply to: Blank screen not working – server Kali Linux vm, client Windows 10 #35829CarinParticipantIf the GUI on your Kali Linux is Gnome, the problem might be related to Wayland.
You can follow the steps explained in this articleย https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/AR04R01083 or disable Wayland and use Xorg.CarinParticipantI am sorry, but at this point, we are not able to provide an ETA.
As for Audio when the M1 is used as a client, it will be fixed in the next weeks.CarinParticipantHi lo_pan,
Can you let us know if you’re starting those applications in a custom session, by configuring a single application or a console window? Thanks!
