KeymasterA restart was the best thing to do in your case 🙂 Please see here:

KeymasterYour second answer came before I could write my answer which was was that I think xmodmap doesn’t change anything permanently, and that a restart or log out of the server would probably have fixed things.
But you say your # key isn’t working? Are all the other keys working correctly? What mac version is it? What Linux distro and desktop environment is it? You say your local keyboard on the Mac is GB. Have I understood correctly?

KeymasterNoMachine remaps the keyboard modifiers to emulate the remote desktop keyboard. If connecting to Linux, please try with ctrl+c and ctrl-v.
We have a Feature Request which will allow users to modify their own keyboard mapping:

KeymasterWe evaluated adding it as a feature (using a configurable key for example) and we decided not to move forward with the implementation because it was not possible to do across all our supported platforms. Sorry to disappoint you.

KeymasterHi, we will be reopening this TR. Thanks for reporting it to us.

KeymasterThis looks like this problem here, which is not a bug in NoMachine but in Xorg. Please try the fix that we provided and follow the steps to verify if it is this problem or not.

KeymasterI may have misunderstood what you wrote, but for sure NoMachine cannot, and should not, pass the password to your system’s lock-screen.

KeymasterWe’ve tried workaround with dummy xorg – and it works fine – without requiring an extra restart. There could be something wrong with your configuration maybe? Can you try disabling the Display manager like in point 3 of this self-help article?

KeymasterThe image you show is not the NoMachine login – it’s a system login. So for example you need to look at the OS manual on how to set auto-login.

KeymasterNyquist, did you manage to install the debug package we provided?
