Hi dande74,
Not sure what could be the matter with your installation. We have tried NoMachine on our own installation of Manjaro and were not able to reproduce it. Manjaro is Arch-based which is not in the list of officially supported distros by NoMachine although we do test with a large variety of distros and desktop variations in their factory settings.
CarinParticipantHi bobnx,
we were not able to reproduce this problem on an updated Xubuntu.
Can you verify your network connection? Is it wifi? When you are able to reproduce the issue, can you please also verify CPU and ram usage on the server-side?CarinParticipantHi Peter,
thank you for the screenshots. However, we need logs to investigate the problem further.
Could you try to enable debug logs, restart, reproduce the problem and send us the logs? Please take a look at this article with the instructions: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00181#1.1
After reproducing the problem, we kindly ask you to execute in both terminals the command:
env | grep DISPLAY
and send us a screenshot with the results.CarinParticipantHi ukscone,
Can you please let us know if you’re using the Linux version of the NoMachine client on your Chromebook?
CarinParticipantHi Eduardo,
We have sent you the fixed test package. Please check your inbox 😉

It looks like your log files failed to attach. Can you please send them directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure you use the title of the topic in the subject of your email? Thanks!
CarinParticipantHi Turbo_2021,
we are glad to hear that it worked!
We’ve opened a Trouble Report: TR04S10212. You can sign up to receive notification of a fix when it’s available. Thanks for reporting.
CarinParticipantHi dkebler,
we understand your need and we’re currently evaluating possible options that would work with all connection types whilst being intuitive, and in a way that integrates seamlessly with the current design (not as easy as you might think). Until then, connection names and the search tool are the best ways to quickly find and access connections.
CarinParticipantHi aletatandra,
Can you please check if the screen-recording permissions have been set correctly for the NoMachine application in “Security & Privacy”?
Please follow the instructions here: How to use NoMachine v. 6.8.2 or later on macOS Catalina
You can also take a look at this topic which has dealt with a similar question: https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/my-rdp-display-is-upside-down
CarinParticipantHi jkissane,
we were not able to reproduce the problem in our labs. It seems more like a configuration problem on your server.
CarinParticipantHi adriano64,
We are glad the issue is resolved. Thank you for letting us know!
CarinParticipantHi Tz0,
Could you please send us server.cfg and node.cfg files, so that we can create the same configuration to test it again? Thanks!
CarinParticipantHi Adriano,
“Is Public key to be appended to the file c:\program files (x86)\nomachine\etc\keys\host\nx_host_rsa_key.crt ?”
No, it should be added to:
<user's home>/.nx/config/authorized.crt
“—–BEGIN CERTIFICATE—–
—–END CERTIFICATE—–
ssh-rsa <publik key string>”
Here, should be only
ssh-rsa <publik key string>
“When I try connection, it asks for a username and keyphrase. Keyphrase is the one I input generating the key, but username?”
When prompted to log in, you should use the username and password of your account on the remote PC (fig.7 here https://www.nomachine.com/getting-started-with-nomachine).
CarinParticipantHi ebiscaia,
thank you for the new logs. We were now able to understand what is causing the problem. It appears that there is a bug in nxlsa.dll, related to the wrong processing of upper/lowercase names of environment variables.
Next week, we will be able to provide you with a fixed test package.
Please let us know if you would be willing to try it, and we will send it via email as soon as it’s ready. 😉CarinParticipantHi Gatos,
Unfortunately, we were not able to reproduce the problem and couldn’t find anything in the logs that explains what’s causing the issue.
We kindly ask you to reproduce the behavior, and check system events (e.g. with Event Viewer) and also in Resource Monitor the nxplayer there (mostly in the ‘Network’ tab).
Could you please check this and send us screenshots as shown in the images attached? Screenshots of anything you find suspicious might also help with the investigation. You can send your images directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure you use the title of the topic in the subject of your email? Many thanks!
