    Thanks for posting. We also found our own workaround that works with a headless set-up.

    1. disable xserver
    sudo init 3
    2. edit /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg and set:
    DefaultDesktopCommand "/usr/bin/startfluxbox"
    3. restart nxserver
    sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --restart

    What macOS is it on the MacBook and what desktop enviroment is on Ubuntu? Do you have two monitors on the macOS side? Is it possible for you to submit a short recording showing the problem?

    Thanks for reporting. This needs further investigation and to do so we are trying to get access to the latest PAM authentication agent for Centos 9f from RSA. In the meantime, could you tell us if with SSH everything is working?

    Fritz, dragging folders is not supported. You can drag single and multiple files and they will be dropped on to the desktop.

    Logs with debug enabled would be useful. Could you try uninstalling completely (removing all traces including the user’s home) and then reinstalling? If you still encounter the problem, then follow the instructions here and resubmit the logs from the server.

    We’ll need logs from the server (C-../session logs specifically which are from the agent), this is the easiest way to check what’s happening.

    I’ve tried uninstalling and installing several times and the behavior has changed again. Access from 127.0.0.1 is also failing now.

    Please uninstall NoMachine, perform reboot, install NoMachine and perform reboot.

    This should bring you back to a situation where you can perform localhost connection but connections from remote fail. In that case, enable debug logging and gather the logs according to the already provided instructions.

    Hello,

    NoMachine supports H.264 hardware acceleration for these types of sessions:

    (i) Connections to the remote physical desktop.
    (ii) Linux virtual desktops without activating the X11 vector graphics mode.
    (iii) Web sessions with support for WebRTC enabled

    From your screenshot I can see that you have X11VG enabled, so this is why it falls back to SW encoding.

    Administrators can disable the X11 vector graphics mode by editing the /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg file. Set:

    We have not been able to reproduce this problem despite several attempts.

    A quick update on this. We were never able to reproduce it.

    Maybe autostart was inadvertently disabled. Something to bear in mind is that in the Free Edition there are 3 services that need to be started, with Enterprise Desktop there are 4:

    /cygdrive/c/ProgramData/NoMachine/nxserver/nxserver.exe –startmode
    NX> 807 Service NoMachine status is: Automatic
    NX> 807 Service NXD status is: Automatic
    NX> 807 Service NXHTD status is: Automatic
    NX> 807 Service NXSSHD status is: Automatic

    Switching to Xorg will help. We reproduced the problem when Wayland is set as the display server.

    Hi Nedss, have you updated the iOS app to the latest version that we released recently? Is the problem still there?

    If so, can you tell us the external keyboard you are using? macOS version on the server side would also be useful to allow us to try and reproduce.

    Apologies for not getting back to you. The first releases of v9 will be dedicated to Network. Development of the feature you are interested in will start after that, so whilst it’s possible that it will be in one of the releases of the v9 branch, we are not able to give you an ETA at the moment. If we have pre-release packages for you to try out, we’ll be in touch with you 🙂

    Can you submit a screenshot of the Display settings panel of the NoMachine session menu?

    Also, from the server side, a screenshot of the Display settings window of the operating system.

    We would need to see logs to understand why you cannot connect. Specific version of Ubuntu and your desktop environment. Are you running Wayland or X.org as the display server?
