If you want to host Windows OS as a desktop service you will need a hypervisor such as VMware, Virtualbox or another. On it you install NoMachine Enterprise Desktop for Windows, and your users will get access by installing the NoMachine client on their devices/PCs. It’s still not clear to me how you want to use the Volume ID function in conjuntion with NoMachine. Perhaps this is more of a question for pre-sales. @venkats, yes it does. You can use the NoMachine GUI wizard to configure the session. Open the GUI, click ‘New’ at the top, select ‘SSH’ in the drop down selection (choice is between NX or SSH) and then the rest should be self-explanatory….

Thanks.The free version for Linux does not provide the virtual desktop functionality. The Workstation would most likely be suitable for your needs.

Point 2)… The virtual desktop functionality is not available in the free NoMachine for Linux. Workstation supports virtual desktops.
Hi David, you need a product with the virtual desktop functionality which allows individual multiple Linux desktops to run on the same host. Each user can have their own personal ‘virtual’ Linux desktop according to how the Administrator has configured it. The virtual desktop functionality is available in all the Linux products with exception of Enterprise Desktop and the free package:

It could well be that the desktop is hanging. If the workaround doesn’t work, can you contact us for the next steps. We have a debug library available which we can send you along with instructions.

@Michalwokcieszek can you explain? Were you having problems and they are now fixed, or are you still having issues with input from keyboard and mouse?
@vkj, are you able to send us the logs so we can investigate further? It’s important to read the guidelines here on how to extract them:

Unfortunately, the transition to the new version of X.org has now been moved to NoMachine 5, so there will be no change with regards to this bug on Evolution until then.
@mo-seph, the logs were not complete 🙁 NoMachine services were stopped. We would need to see logs while the
issue is occurring. Are you able to resubmit?
