A Trouble Report was recently fixed which appears to be the problem you were encountering.
GPU Hardware encoding with NVENC doesn’t work with NoMachine Windows packages at 64bit
https://kb.nomachine.com/TR12T10722stephenh, NoMachine simulates the press of physical keys by sending the physical key codes. If you have the §± symbol on your keyboard, these are the symbols that it will be possible to input with NoMachine. How they are translated to specific symbols depends on the remote system.
Can you open a new topic about the issue you are encountering making sure to state the versions of NoMachine (client and server side) and the version of Red Hat as well, language set in desktop environment etc, and details about the Mac computer you are connecting from (OS version, keyboard type, language etc)
We weren’t able to reproduce this. Have you updated to the latest version?
Do you use dual screens? If so, what is the arrangement of the screens?
Did you test again and get the same result? We reproduced similar behaviour with LXDE, LXQT moonlight theme. What DE and theme are you using?

BriBri, in your server.cfg there were some changed parameters which were preventing NoMachine from working correctly (not only those which were incorrectly configured during the update), some which you changed. We are going to send it back to you, but corrected.
I will also include a freshly built package which you should download and install. Then replace the server.cfg file with the one attached to our email.
Let us know if this helps.
MasterOfus, we need the server logs, not just the player side logs.
So, on the server
$ sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --debug --enable allfrom a terminalon the player side
Settings – security – Don’t delete log files on exit.
Reproduce the problem.
Then on the server
$ sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --debug --collectZip up everything and send as attachments to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.

You can unmute in the Connection Menu. https://kb.nomachine.com/DT09T00267#6 see fig 18.
Start a session, open the menu (Ctrl-Alt-0) and select Audio -> Change settings -> Uncheck the box ‘Mute audio on the server’.
Did you all update the latest 8.3 version we released last week? It includes some improvements to audio in general.
We’ve found a possible issue during the update procedure. Can you send us your server.cfg file from the computer you’re connecting to, so that we can check it?
Just to add that, what we found in the nxdb file is that updating to v8 from v7 was not done cleanly. This will be fixed in the next maintenance release. Hence a workaround is to run the command suggested just above 🙂
