April 28, 2014 at 14:07 in reply to: Win 7 server, !M ver 4.2.19, "no available sessions on this server" #3356BritgirlKeymaster
Thanks for letting us know Albert. I will close this topic 🙂
BritgirlKeymasterCan you clarify what you mean? Are you referring to “the image becomes very pixelated for 4-5 seconds after big screen updates”. Please provide all details of display settings, what you are connectin from and to etc as usual.
BritgirlKeymasterFrom the logs of your connection to server 4.2.21, port 4000 is somehow being filtered or blocked. Port 22 (SSH) is open, so you have two options:
1) Check your firewall settings and allow connections via NX to port 40002) Or you can connect via SSH instead of NX provided you have a version that supports SSH (any of the Enterprise Server/Terminal Server products).
I have removed your logs of the 3.5.0 server. As I mentioned earlier, our traditional support channels are available for 3.5.0 users. If you have a subscription, log in and submit your enquiry there.
BritgirlKeymasterAre you able to show us the screenshots? If they show sensitive information, please submit them to issues[at]nomachine[dot]com. Just so we have all the necessary information, you need to tell us what Windows version you are using on the client, and what is running on the Linux server. (I assume you are using the latest version: 4.2.21 of NoMachine software, both client and server).
BritgirlKeymasterA Trouble Report has been opened:Â https://www.nomachine.com/TR04L0437 Follow the link to sign up to receive notification of the fix.
BritgirlKeymasterDid you check the ‘Grab the keyboard’ in the Input tab of the client UI? This will let you pass the shortcut to the remote desktop.
BritgirlKeymasterWhen is SSH support coming?
In one of the next updates. I can’t guarantee it’s the next one, but it’s definitely coming soon.
Will there be a connection wizard that will mimic 3.5.0?
There is a wizard in both the desktop and mobile version already. Open the app and clicking on ‘New’ to initiate it. The current connection wizard allows to configure all the parameters which are needed to connect to the server. The settings related to the session (e.g. selecting the session type, changing the video quality, etc) can be changed later and also saved.
When is the iPhone version coming
We don’t have a specifc date yet for the iPhone version. As for the iPad version, the apps need to be approved first by Apple in order to be published in the store. We are aiming for a production release to be out in the second quarter 2014.
BritgirlKeymasterWe’ve reproduced it and opened a Trouble Report: https://www.nomachine.com/TR04L04386

BritgirlKeymasterWe’re unable to reproduce this behaviour with the keyboard. Is it possible for you to connect to the server using a different client? Do you get the same behaviour?
BritgirlKeymasterAre you able to SSH in to your RHEL machine from your laptop?
Server side logs as well.
BritgirlKeymasterAre you getting the same problem with the latest update, Chris? (4.2.21)
BritgirlKeymasterJust updating this post after having received the logcat. The problem is that we don’t currently support the Tegra 2 which is what is used on your tablet. We’re working on extending supported platforms.
BritgirlKeymasterDid you follow the instructions which are linked from the above topic? https://www.nomachine.com/AR10K00710
Quoting from the article: “If you want to set a different display, change the node.cfg key: #DisplayDefault :0 by replacing the ‘0’ with the correct number.”

The logs would be useful from both sides to see what is happening. Please follow the instructions here and either attach them to your reply or forward them to issues[at]nomachine.com.

If you have had issues connecting to a 3.5.0 server from a version 4.2 client, you should submit further information via the link above. 3.5.0 issues are dealt with via the traditional support channels whereas the forums are dedicated to version 4 server/client questions.
