Does Enterprise Server for Windows support multiple virtual desktops on a single Windows server?
No. If you have Linux Terminal Server Nodes behind the Enterprise Server for Windows, then you will be able to deploy Linux virtual desktops through your Enterprise Server.
Does Enterprise Desktop for Windows support only concurrent connections to the same, single, physical desktop?
Yes. That’s correct.
We got your screenshot and are investigating. Can you send us logs (of the problematic session) and also tell us if you have lightweight mode enabled on the server. You can check this by:
– open the NoMachine GUI from the Programs/Applications menu
– click on the last icon ‘Preferences’
– select ‘Server status’
– select ‘Server preferences’
– select ‘Performances’
– check the box ‘Use lightweight mode in virtual sessions’AltGr+9 -> { works well. It’s just AltGr+0 that fails.
Go in to the player settings -> Input and change the hot-key combination you use to get the NoMachine session menu. You can also uncheck it if you prefer to just use the page-peel and leave all your keyboard free.
Also, how do I close that system overlay menu with the keyboard?
We can add the possibility to close the menu using the keyboard, perhaps ‘Esc’?
@snejok, “unknown” indicates it’s using lightweight. We couldn’t write “Codec lightweight” since lightweight is not a codec. In 4.2, ‘Unknown’ won’t be used at all, and only if a specific codec is being used will we show this info.

Have you installed the Workstation? The free NoMachine for Linux does not provide the virtual desktop functionality.
